AERODEV - When tourism sustains life
On l'ile aux Nattes, AERODEV transforms every sea outing into an act of solidarity. Founded by Hervé, who is passionate about the sea and deeply committed to local communities, this NGO's mission is to use tourism resources to make a real difference to the lives of the ile's inhabitants.
Thanks to its boat, the Dalila Club, tourists embark on a unique whale-watching experience, while funding an essential humanitarian project. It's an ethical, supportive and sustainable model. Each tourist outing enables us to carry out 24-hour medical evacuations to the Sainte-Marie hospital, to transport volunteer doctors for free consultations, and to provide logistical support to isolated families in their healthcare efforts.
The high tourist season, from June to September, covers the boat's fixed costs: fuel, maintenance, insurance, as well as the salaries of the three permanent sailors. This constant presence on the water is essential for responding rapidly to emergencies.
More than a project, a place to live
AERODEV is also a simple, warm guesthouse, a small local restaurant featuring seafood products, and an exchange space where volunteers, travelers and locals share their know-how and commitment.
Become a partner in this human project
Hoteliers, guides, pirogue operators, local agencies... AERODEV invites you to take part in this adventure of solidarity. By offering whale watching tours to your visitors, you benefit from a fair commission while contributing to a concrete and transparent humanitarian cause.
Every shared reservation helps save lives.
